Under the authority of the Medical Profession Act, the Yukon Medical Council is responsible for regulating the practice of medicine and medical care provided by Licensed Physicians in Yukon (

Walk-in Clinics
- Walk-in clinics are available to patients who do not currently have a regular family physician
- Physicians that work out of the walk-in clinics are licensed physicians who can make referrals, issue prescriptions, and process medical travel applications

Specialists Information
In order to see a specialist in Yukon, you must be referred by a licensed physician, please discuss the possibility of a referral with a physician. This would include your family doctor or a physician working from a walk-in clinic.
