Simplifying licensee access to information critical in the preparation of Forest Stewardship Plans (FSPs) in an administratively efficient manner.

This website:

• connects companies preparing FSPs with Ministry of Forests (MoF) district personnel responsible for information distribution and verification,

• acts as a resource for MoF district staff seeking information on data sources they can refer licensees to,

• provides a focus for disseminating communications about the FSP Information Support Project.

Staff  have been identified by each district as the primary contact for information necessary to produce FSPs. While some information is available from provincial sources, it is critical that FSP proponents confirm with the district contacts that any information obtained is appropriate / accurate and the best available.

Information Resources

This MS Excel spreadsheet is intended as a resource for both districts and licensees. It provides linkages to information that is generally provincial in scope.

We are encouraging districts to produce spreadsheets maintained on their local FTP sites directing companies to all information that is of a local nature, and this site if the corporate information is appropriate.

The spreadsheet includes items identified by industry and districts as being useful in the preparation of Forest Stewardship Plans. It was used to gather information requirements from district offices.
