Introduction
Vegetation Cover Update is the process of maintaining
and updating changes to the approved Vegetation Resource Inventory (VRI).
This Update process includes identifying, mapping and describing the changes
that occur across the VRI. These changes to the VRI may be the result
of human activities such as logging, tree planting, right-of-way construction
for highways and pipelines, etc; or be caused by natural disturbances
to the VRI such as fires, insects and windthrow.
