A senior woman using a walkerAt their last meeting, Federal, Provincial and Territorial (F/P/T) Ministers Responsible for Seniors approved the
Age-Friendly Rural and Remote Communities Guide which follows on the Global Age-Friendly Cities Guide adopted by the World Health Organization (WHO) on October 1, 2007. Both guides support the vision of healthy aging as developed in Healthy Aging in Canada: A New Vision, a Vital Investment, From Evidence to Action - A Background Paper.
