Benchmarking for Success and Agricultural Services

The objective of these Web-based services are to equip producers with information on renewal programs and initiatives, and tools to help them assess the performance and potential profitability of their farm with other farms of similar size, specialization and region.

These services are expected to help producers make the best business management decisions for their operation.

Eligibility Criteria

This free service is available to all producers.

Summary

This Web-based service offers the following products:

• An interactive financial benchmarking Web site/CD-ROM that allows producers to compare their farm data with other farms of similar size, specialization and region. The results will provide producers with indications as to whether their operations are performing below, at, or above the average.
• An agricultural services Web page that provides producers with links to federal and provincial agricultural services and programs available in their areas and information on best management practices, mentoring and farm clubs.

The agricultural services and Benchmark for Success tools are updated on a regular basis with statistics and information on best management practices, mentoring, etc.
