Welcome to the Nova Scotia Advisory Council on the Status of Women Library and Information Services
The library of the Nova Scotia Advisory Council on the Status of Women provides information services to the NSACSW staff, the Council members, provincial and federal government personnel, educators, students and the general public.
Our focus is "women’s issues" with materials covering a variety of different topics such as:
- violence
- law
- health
- employment
- poverty.
We have materials of particular interest to:
- young women
- women of African descent
- women of Aboriginal descent
- immigrant women
- women with disabilities.
What you will find:
- 60 binders of newspaper clippings and articles on a wide range of subjects - retention period - five years
- women's journals and newsletters from across Nova Scotia, Canada and beyond
- up-to-date statistics and fact sheets.
