Review Of Yukon Workers' Compensatopm Act Moves Into Next Stages
WHITEHORSE - The panel conducting the review of the Workers' Compensation Act is inviting feedback on a paper outlining options for possible legislative changes to the Act.
The three person panel conducting the review has scheduled a series of public meetings in Whitehorse, Dawson, Watson Lake and Haines Junction, beginning in early March, to gather input from stakeholders and other interested parties.
Stakeholders and others are also being encouraged to make written submissions to the review panel. The deadline for receiving submissions is June 15, 2006.
After receiving the input of stakeholders and other interested parties, the review panel will further analyze the options and their implications and prepare recommendations for legislative changes for the Minister responsible for the Workers' Compensation Health and Safety Board.
Hard copies of the discussions document are available for pickup at the main information desk in the Yukon government administration building located on Second Avenue in Whitehorse. Electronic copies are also available online at www.wcbactreview.gov.yk.ca.
