The water data available has generally been collected by departmental staff to provide both baseline and issue
specific information to the department and to the general public. Often this data has been contained within public
data reports or consultants' reports but until now has not been easily accessed by the general public outside of
these reports. The data available in this system includes both historical data and data being collected as part
of current monitoring programs. Some of the parameters are from field instruments and others are laboratory
analyses of grab water samples. Current analyses of water samples are completed by the Provincial Analytical
Laboratories, a SCC accredited facility.
