Bachelor of Nursing Student Summer Employment Program

As part of the Prince Edward Island Nursing Recruitment and Retention Strategy, health care facilities offer twelve-week (12) summer employment opportunities for Nursing students who have successfully completed their second or third year of a recognized Bachelor Degree in Nursing Program.

The purpose of the Bachelor of Nursing Student Summer Employment Program is to assist Nursing students with education costs, and provide further opportunities for students to become familiar with the Prince Edward Island health care system.

Students are employed for a 12-week period from June to August 24th.

Students who have completed second year will be employed in long term care facilities and will receive $10.00 per hour.

Students who have completed third year will be employed in acute care facilities and will receive $12.50 per hour.

Interested students are asked to identify and rank the facility where they would prefer to work.

Students eligible to apply are those who will be entering either their third or fourth year of a Bachelor Degree in Nursing Program for the coming academic year.
