On June 5, Minister Abbott officially opened a new intensive care unit at the Royal Columbian Hospital. "All across British Columbia, we are investing in modern, state-of-the-art facilities to deliver safe, high quality patient care today and for the future," said Abbott. The new 9,200-square-foot ICU is more than double the size of the former unit.
