Québec wildlife reserves are vast territories in which you can enjoy many winter activities, such as cross country skiing, snowshoeing, skating, sledding, ice fishing, winter vacationing or snowmobiling. Snowmobilers practice this increasingly popular sport, for the most part, in the following wildlife reserves: Laurentides (Auberge Le Relais), Mastigouche, Papineau-Labelle, Portneuf, Rouge-Matawin and La Vérendrye (Outaouais sector).

Here is a more detailed look at the services offered by the Réserve faunique des Laurentides and the Réserve faunique Rouge-Matawin.

Rates for the 2005-2006 winter season apply.

Linking the large regions of Québec City, Portneuf, Lac-St-Jean and the Saguenay, the network of trails in the Réserve faunique des Laurentides offers nearly 500 kilometres of groomed and marked trails. This is a magnificent, untouched territory, adorned with huge coniferous forests, snowy mountain ranges and valleys that conceal long, frozen rivers.

Because of its high altitude and distinct climate, the Réserve faunique des Laurentides is renowned for abundant winter snowfall. If you love the great outdoors and relish discovery and adventure, this reserve is a "must see", either for day trips or longer excursions! The number of trails, their quality and the many services offered, are sure to meet all your expectations.

Advantageously located at the snowmobile crossroads, the Auberge Le Relais offers comfortable, high quality accommodations. After a day on the trails, you will appreciate the attentive staff, good food and warm atmosphere.
