Location

Parc national de la Gaspésie is located at the heart of the Gaspé Peninsula. Route 299 crosses the park from north to south, making it possible to link the municipalities of Sainte-Anne-des-Monts (40 km), on the edge of the St. Lawrence River and New Richmond (92 km), in Baie des Chaleurs. Access and Operating Period

The park is open year round.

Two access roads lead you to the very heart of Parc national de la Gaspésie, namely to the Discovery and Visitors Centre, the main registration area. The park's operating season runs from the start of June to mid-October and from mid-December to the end of April. During the other times of the year, the park is accessible, but services are limited.

Discovery and Visitors Centre From May 17 to October 14, 2007 and
from December 22, 2007 to April 6, 2008
North entrance From Route 132 at Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, take Route 299 for 40 km
South entrance From Route 132 at New Richmond, take Route 299 for approximately 100 km
Note: Operating hours vary according to the period of the year.

Public Transit

  • Mont-Joli regional airport is located 180 km from Parc national de la Gaspésie; car rentals are available on site.
  • The City of Sainte-Anne-des-Monts is served daily by inter-city coaches from Québec City and Gaspé.
  • Within the park, a bus ensures a daily link between the Mont-Albert Sector and the La Galène campground Sector (from June 24 to September 30).
