Activities - Summer and Fall
Guided tours
At the Natural History Museum, visitors of any age can travel back in time on a long voyage of discovery. The 1.5 hour guided visit starts with a tour of the permanent exhibition, followed by a stop at the teaching lab. The visit ends on the beach with a reading of the landscape and geological interpretation of the cliff.
The tour is updated every year to keep pace with research on Miguasha's fossil fauna and flora.
Period: From June 1 to October 8, 2007

Hiking
Over a distance of 1.9 kilometres, a short trail hugs the cliff and winds its way through the park's beautiful surroundings. At the end of the trail, a 214-step stairway will take you down to the beach and then back to the museum along the fossil-rich cliff. It is called the "Evolution of Life" trail because of a series of information panels that recount the history of life on our planet.
