Outdoor Activities - Winter
The Parc national d'Aiguebelle is renowned for the quality of its winter... powder snow, sunny days, arctic nights and starry skies... Go out and discover the Abijévis hills with its 2.7 billion-year-old rock, spot moose trails or grouse tracks, venture out into the powder snow or slide on the hardened snow of fault lakes in the spring. All kinds of adventures are awaiting you.
Snowshoeing
Snowshoers can use the marked backcountry ski trails or any of the five snowshoeing trails, one of which leads to the Lac La Haie fault. Here, snowshoers will have the pleasure of admiring the spectacular rocky escarpments in all their winter grandeur. The bravest can climb L' Escalade trail, which leads to the top of La Trompeuse hill. From there, take in the panoramic view of the
landscape and Abitibi's vast white spaces.
Period: From the end of December, 2007 to March 30, 2008
