Location
Parc national de Frontenac is located at the limits of the tourist regions of the Eastern Townships and Chaudière-Appalaches, 18 km from Thetford Mines (Saint-Daniel Sector). The park is made up of three sectors that extend over close to 30 km, around Grand Lac Saint-François.
To the north, the Saint-Daniel sector offers nautical activities, camping, hiking trails, a beach, and a magnificent cycling path. You'll discover an exceptional territory when you visit the peat bog, which is also a great place to observe plants and birds.
The Sainte-Praxède sector is the smallest of the three sectors and is mostly used for boating, but you can get there and enjoy a peaceful picnic on the banks of Grand Lac Saint-François.
Finally, the southern sector also offers many opportunities for relaxation. Whether you are staying in a cabin, rustic shelter or camping, canoe-camping or primitive camping, you can take advantage of your trip to the park to discover this very large sector by hiking, cycling or doing your favourite water sport.
