Cabin and Hut Accommodations

Cabin, primitive camp and hut accommodations are presented in the form of a table that describes the services and activities offered near each one. This succinct information will enable you to quickly choose the unit that best meets your needs. The distance between the Visitors Centre and huts is not indicated, as the latter are often accessible from several places.

Camping

Summer Camping

On the edge of Rivière Valin, two primitive campgrounds with 5 sites each are available to campers wishing to spend a night in the forest. These sites are accessible by canoe. Campgrounds are presented in the form of a table indicating the services and activities offered near each one. An open concept campground, L'Eau-Vive, is located one kilometre from the Discovery and Visitor Centre and is accessible by car. Please consult Reservation Terms and Conditions.





Winter Camping

Light camping is authorized in one sector only, the campground "L'eau vive". It is currently forbidden to camp along the backpacking trails, even near the huts. Help us to protect your park so the show can go on... and on...

SAFETY: Only experienced campers with appropriate gear will be allowed in the winter campgrounds. Solo camping is prohibited.
Period: All winter



Igloo Accommodations

The Parc national des Monts-Valin offers you an exciting way to experience winter an overnight stay in an igloo! These 2-4 person snow shelters are located 500 metres from the road, just a few steps from the Valin River. You'll find a place to make a fire outside, along with a supply of firewood. A pit toilet is also located nearby.

As part of a package, the park supplies candles, an insulated ground mattress, a -23°C sleeping bag and a pair of snowshoes. You can also rent the igloo without any equipment.
