Welcome to the Southern Interior Forest Region
The Southern Interior Forest Region is comprised of what was the Cariboo, Kamloops and Nelson Forest Regions prior to 2003.

- 2 Regional Service Centers (Nelson and Williams Lake)
- 12 Districts, 10 Satellite Offices
- 2 time zones, several mountain ranges
- New office complex underway – completion date June 2008
- $70M in allocation and recoveries
- 25M hectares – approx 60% in productive forest land
- 32,400,000 m³ annual AAC (37.9% of provincial total)

- 31,302,078 m³ cut and billed in Fiscal 06
(34.5% of provincial total)

- 15 Timber Supply Areas
- 12 Tree Farm Licences (and growing), 407 Woodlots,
- 73 Forest Licences;17 Community Forest Agreements
- 16,575 non-BCTS kms of Forest Service roads
- 220 Forest Service bridges
- 86 First Nation Bands and Tribal Councils
- 18 First Nations Forest and Range Agreements
- 90M seedlings planted each year – 10M in fire denuded areas by spring 07
- 4.7M hectares infested by Mountain Pine Beetle
(surveyed in 2005)
