While in Prague for the awarding of the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, Premier Gordon Campbell and 2010 Bid Corporation CEO Jack Poole touch a famous statue atop the city's Charles Bridge. Touching the statue of St. John Nepomuk is one of Prague's rituals and it is supposed to bring good luck.

LIFE SCIENCES CENTRE ON TRACK TO DOUBLE MEDICAL SPACES

VANCOUVER — Construction of a new medical school at the University of B.C. that will nearly double the number of medical students in B.C. is now half-complete, and the school is on track to begin accepting students next year, said Premier Gordon Campbell.

FUNDING TO ADD 125 NEW SPACES AT UBC BUSINESS SCHOOL
Premier Gordon Campbell announces $1 million in new annual funding to provide an additional 125 student spaces at the Sauder School of Business at UBC. The funding, to be phased in over five years, complements a $20-million private donation by B.C. business leader Bill Sauder.

VANCOUVER — Government will provide an additional $1 million a year to fund 125 new spaces for business students at the University of British Columbia, to be phased in over the next five years, Premier Gordon Campbell announced today.
