PREMIER HONOURS B.C.'S TOP ATHLETES
Several of B.C.'s finest athletes receive Premier's Athletic Awards from Premier Gordon Campbell and Community, Aboriginal and Women's Services Minister George Abbott, March 6th in Vancouver. British Columbia athletes participating in the Canada Winter Games in New Brunswick also participated in the ceremony via video link.

VANCOUVER — Premier Gordon Campbell speaks at the Premier's Athletic Awards March 6 in Vancouver. Eighty of the province’s top athletes were recognized at this year's event. The awards recognize the top female and male athletes who participate in the B.C. athlete assistance program in one of 46 eligible sports.
