$4.5-MILLION PARTNERSHIP TO PROTECT CODD WETLAND

PITT MEADOWS — The future of Codd Wetland is secure, thanks to a $4.5-million acquisition by the Province of British Columbia, the Greater Vancouver Regional District (GVRD), the District of Pitt Meadows, The Land Conservancy of BC (TLC) and Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC), on behalf of the Pacific Estuary Conservation Program partners, and the Aquilini Investment Group.

REPORT OF INDEPENDENT AUDIT RELEASED

VICTORIA — Following an internal audit by the Office of the Comptroller General, PriceWaterhouse Coopers LLP (PwC) was retained to undertake an investigation of the CareNet Technology Society and the provincial government's dealings with Douglas F. Walls. The report was received in final form Thursday, May 6, 2004, and the Office of the Comptroller General reviewed it for accuracy and completeness.
