B.C.'S NEWEST UNIVERSITY OPENS IN KAMLOOPS

KAMLOOPS — Premier Gordon Campbell launched the province's newest university today during the inaugural convocation of Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops and announced funding approval for a $12-million BC Open Learning Centre to house the operations of BC Open University and Open College.

TOURNAMENT CAPITAL GETS SPORT BOOST FROM PROVINCE

KAMLOOPS — The B.C. government is providing $6 million in funding to help construct, upgrade and renovate sports facilities at Kamloops' McArthur Island and Hillside Stadium, Premier Gordon Campbell announced today.

Premier Gordon Campbell announced the proclamation of ActNow BC day and joined members of the community for a walk in Vancouver to launch the ActNow BC program aimed at encouraging all British Columbians to make healthy lifestyle choices.

365 HYBRID VEHICLES ADDED TO PROVINCE'S GREEN FLEET
