AMBULATORY CARE ANNOUNCEMENT VANCOUVER
A drawing of an innovative new care centre that will improve patient services in Vancouver while enhancing training for medical students flanks Premier Gordon Campbell as he announces the project on Oct. 19, 2002. The Academic Ambulatory Care Centre will be built by a public-private partnership on the Vancouver General Hospital site. Also making the announcement, from left: Dr. John Cairns, dean of the University of B.C.'s faculty of medicine; Health Services Minister Colin Hansen; and Ida Goodreau, president and CEO of the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority.
