PREMIER ANNOUNCES UNBC CROWN LAND TRANSFER
Premier Gordon Campbell announced the transfer of 248 hectares of Crown land to the University of Northern British Columbia. He was joined for the announcement by (left to right): Prince George-Mount Robson MLA, Deputy Premier and Minister of Education Shirley Bond; Prince George-Omineca MLA John Rustad; and Prince George North MLA and Minister of Agriculture and Lands Pat Bell.

Premier Gordon Campbell joined grade 6-8 students participating in BCIT's Girls Exploring Trades and Technologies summer camp to announce the new Campus 2020: Thinking Ahead project that will help prepare B.C.'s post-secondary system to meet the needs of students and the province in the future.

PREMIER ADDRESSES ASSEMBLY OF FIRST NATIONS
Premier Gordon Campbell joined B.C. Regional Chief Shawn Atleo at the annual summit of the Assembly of First Nations where he spoke about the Province's commitment to closing the social and economic gaps between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Canadians.

PREMIER SIGNS HISTORIC AGREEMENT TO IMPROVE FIRST NATIONS EDUCATION
Premier Gordon Campbell, Nathan Matthew, Chief Negotiator First Nations Education Steering Committee, and Jim Prentice, Federal Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development sign historic agreement recognizing First Nations' jurisdiction over Aboriginal education.

VANCOUVER — Premier Gordon Campbell, Federal Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development Jim Prentice, Chief Negotiator Nathan Matthew, and Deborah Jeffrey, President of the First Nations Education Steering Committee (FNESC), signed a historic agreement today that will lead to recognition of First Nations' jurisdiction over First Nations' education in British Columbia.
