Communaction.ca is a:

• gateway toward Government of Canada programs and services that support the economic development of official language minority communities;
• reliable source of information on the implementation of Part VII, Section 41 of the Official Languages Act;
• link toward useful contacts who can help communities.

Eligibility Criteria

Members of official language minority communities and anyone interested in the economic development of these communities.

 What does the site feature? 

• an extensive database on programs and services provided by Industry Canada, the regional development agencies and other federal entities;
• a search engine allowing users to choose among several categories and three criteria:
  • clients;
  • subjects;
  • regions;
• a virtual resource centre containing information documents on the plans and achievements of federal organizations with an economic mandate; 
• a wealth of hyperlinks leading to: 
  • federal organizations key to community and economic development; 
  • key people in the communities; 
  • up-to-date documentary resources; 
• a direct link to the news of various federal programs and services.
