Answers inquiries and educates employers and employees about the Employment Standards Act (PDF 990KB).
Investigates wage complaints received from employees, third parties, and confidential claimants.
Consults with employers and payroll specialists about the application of the Act.
Reviews personnel policies for compliance with the Act.
Who is not covered by the Employment Standards Act?
Government of Yukon Employees
Employees subject to federal regulations, including bank employees, telecommunications employees, some First Nation employees, cross-border transportation companies, Internet service providers. (These occupations are covered by the Canada Labour Program under the Canada Labour Code.)
