Recovering Value from Dead Timber
Allowable annual cuts have been increased to recover economic value from
mountain pine beetle-attacked timber and to speed regeneration of affected
areas. In addition to lumber, many new uses are being developed to extend the
period of time that forest products can be manufactured from beetle-affected
wood.
