Superficie : 310 km²
Tourist Region: Charlevoix
At the beginning of the 20th century, the area was already renowned for its amazing fishing sectors. Impressed by the carpet of lichen and the northern vegetation, which is unusual at this latitude, people who visited the area at the time christened it Grands-Jardins. Today, this sample of the Great Québec North is still a favourite of fishing enthusiasts, as well as hikers, campers and vacationers who
appreciate the magical setting of this exceptional national park. It has the privilege of being one of the central areas of the Charlevoix World Biosphere Reserve, a status awarded to the region by UNESCO. The Parc national des Grands-Jardins is accessible through the village of Saint-Urbain.
