Outdoor Activities - Summer and Fall

To ensure a high quality experience for everyone, visitors must use earphones when listening to a radio in the park, at all times and in all places.

Swimming

One supervised beach has been set up with your safety in mind. Crémaillère beach in La Diable Sector provide countless hours of fun and enjoyment.

Canoeing

Take advantage of the park's endless array of water resources, namely the 400 lakes and six rivers that dot the territory! Without a doubt, canoeing is the favorite way to discover Parc national du Mont-Tremblant. The Meandering Diable is one of the most popular canoe trips in the park. Period: From the beginning of May to the end of October, 2007


Canoe Camping

For a welcome break from the everyday routine and to explore the depths of Laurentian nature, why not go on a canoe camping trip in Parc national du Mont-Tremblant. The park's two main rivers, Diable and l'Assomption, are ideal for both day and longer-term canoe camping trips. If you're looking for peace and solitude, Lac Rossi, Lac de la Savane and Lac de L'Assomption represent excellent destinations. A thrilling experience awaits you! Au canot volant and Expéditions Tuckamor offer guided excursions.
Period: 11 mai au 3 septembre 2007, except for the second section of Rivière du Diable between Lac Monroe and Vache Noire (until October 8, 2007).



Fishing

A huge wilderness area, Parc national du Mont-Tremblant offers a choice territory for fishing enthusiasts in search of close contact with nature. Brook trout and northern pike are the most common species in the park. Brown trout and lake trout are also found in some bodies of water.

Like all of the outdoor activities offered in the park, fishing is practised with respect for the park's first mandate of conserving the natural environment. All bodies of water are accessible by vehicle, boat or trail. Please note that Québec fishing licences are obligatory.

New in 2008 : It is now possible to reserve your day fishing activity 4 months in advance. For example, if you want to fish on June 24, you should reserve on February 24. Online reservations and phone reservations start at 8:30 AM (1 800 665-6527). See Reservation Terms and Conditions and the 2008 Day Fishing brochure to find out when the different bodies of water open for fishing.

Somes lakes will be available as of 7 AM the same day at the park information kiosks, on a first come - first served basis.




Hiking

Hiking is the most popular activity at Parc national du Mont-Tremblant. Whether it is for a short hike or a long trek, the huge network of trails allows you to discover the true nature of the Laurentians. Détour Nature offers guided hikes.
Period: From early May to the first snowfall, 2007


Backpacking

The backpacking trail network extends over 120 km of trails dotted with ten group huts able to accommodate from 2 to 18 persons. Several trails are available to you.

Cycling

Ride calmly along the bike paths while becoming better acquainted with the park's forest landscape. Seven circuits, totaling 62 km of trails, offer magnificent viewpoints.

La Diable Sector

A family favourite, this riverside trail between Lac Monroe and Chutes Croches falls is a little jewel (9.6 km round trip, app. 2 hours).

La Pimbina Sector

Lac-Cassagne (17.3 km including a 7.6 km loop) and La Descente (8.3 km) are two trails that are sure to please mountain bike enthusiasts. There is a shelter on each trail.

L'Assomption Sector

Set out to explore the dirt roads leading to various lakes in this sector.

La Cachée Area

Discover the many waterfalls and cascades as you cycle along the dirt roads in this sector.

Tremblant Resort offers mountain bikers a practice area at the bottom of Mont Tremblant.
