A diversified
work environment
Sépaq fulfils its mandate in all of its establishments
by designing, offering and marketing a variety of products,
activities and services related to nature, its conservation
and protection, the outdoors and education: hiking trails,
canoe touring, guided interpretation hikes, cabin accommodations,
camping, hunting and fishing, etc.
All corporate functions are grouped together at the Head
Office: management and finance, equipment and physical
resources, marketing and sales, computers, legal matters
and human resources. Within our network of establishments
and the Head Office, there are many varied and, often,
specialized fields of expertise and a wide range of jobs.

Management based on staff
involvement.
All of our staff is qualified and extremely dedicated. In
high season, over 2,800 employees work in all the regions
of Québec. Our human resources department deals with
all matters concerning personnel, such as recruiting, industrial
relations, training, bargaining and application of collective
agreements, payroll management, work organization, classification,
as well as policies and procedures relevant to the staff.
Our employees are not governed by the Québec Public
Service Act. We favour a participatory management style, based
on employee involvement and have established many participatory
and consulting mechanisms that enhance employee commitment
and accountability. The corporation always encourages employee
decision-making and initiative.
To facilitate employee participation and accountability, the
levels of administrative and hierarchical structures are reduced
to a minimum. There are never more than three or four levels
between the employees and the president-director general of
the Society. This applies to all of our establishments, including
the Head Office, where the number of decision-making levels
is limited to one or two.
One of the major services our human resources department offers
is training, providing continuing education programs based
on Sépaq values and the acquisition of new skills for
increased effectiveness. The goal of these programs is to
increase employee qualifications so our staff can offer customers
the very highest quality of service.
For
over a year now, Sépaq has been running a new
workforce planning program, which has started to recruit
a significant number of young professionals and technicians
for strategic positions, such as executives, professionals
and managers in each one of Sépaq's activity
sectors. We are proud to introduce you to some of them.
Our Recruiting Procedure:
When a need for new personnel is
identified in the organization, our procedures are as
follows: |

- Once the obligations stipulated in our labour agreements
have been met, we review the employment applications filed
in our applicant bank and invite candidates with the required
qualifications to selection interviews.
- As needed, job offers are published in regional and national
newspapers. Sépaq always favours local and regional
hiring.
To register :
To be registered in our applicant bank, send your application
as follows:
1. By Internet, using the electronic
form: you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt by
e-mail and a personal identification number, so there is no
need to call to check if your CV is registered.
2. By mail or by fax to a specific
branch or to the
Sépaq Head Office. In both cases, your CV will
be registered in our central bank.
As soon as the Head Office or one of the branches receives it,
your application form will be registered in the applicant bank.
You will be sent an acknowledgement of receipt within a reasonable
time period. After one year, if your application form has not
been renewed, it will be deleted from the applicant bank. The
electronic form allows you to view the types of jobs for which
we are regularly seeking candidates.
Please note:
- Applications are not processed according to date of registration,
but according to experience, qualifications and skills of
the candidates in relation to the job description.
- Sépaq will only keep the applications of candidates
who have recognized qualifications in the activity sector
for which they are offering their services.
