Less than 30 minutes from North America's oldest French-speaking city lies Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier. It features a remarkable landscape characterized by contrasts: mountainous uplands fractured by steep-sided valleys. A river winds through the most spectacular of them, the Vallée de la Jacques-Cartier, a trench more than 550 m deep. It is calm in some spots and agitated in others. In the forest where yellow birch rubs shoulders with sugar maples and black spruce, nature inspires peace and respect. In the winter, the grandiose charm of this panorama does not go into hibernation! Dressed in its white mantle, it envelopes the area in the kind of magic that will leave you speechless.
