NANAIMO TO CREATE SPIRIT SQUARE IN MAFFEO-SUTTON PARK

NANAIMO – Nanaimo will redevelop its harbour-front Maffeo-Sutton Park into a venue for events and a community gathering place to mark BC150 and future celebrations, thanks to $500,000 from the Province’s B.C. Spirit Square program, Premier Gordon Campbell announced.

CP BC SPIRIT OF 150 TRAIN CONNECTS PAST AND FUTURE

VANCOUVER – A year-long celebration of British Columbia’s 150th anniversary was launched as Premier Gordon Campbell and Canadian Pacific president and CEO Fred Green unveiled plans for a historic steam train tour that will take communities on a journey through B.C.’s rich and diverse history.
