Aboriginal Healthy Babies Healthy Children is designed to help all Aboriginal children in Ontario get the best start in life.
Akwe:go is a Mohawk word meaning "everybody" or "all of us".
It's the name of a unique program for Aboriginal children ages 7 to 12. It is available through 27 Indian Friendship Centres across Ontario. The program promotes healthy development in ways that respect cultural backgrounds and traditions.
This program is offered by Aboriginal organizations across the province for families with children and youth who may have been affected by alcohol before birth.
