As an integrated regulator, FSCO provides services related to a number of different financial services sectors. The following provides general contact information followed by more specific contact information (including telephone and e-mail information) depending on the nature of your inquiry.

Where is FSCO Located?

5160 Yonge Street is on the south-west corner of Yonge Street and Park Home Avenue, half way between Sheppard Avenue and Finch Avenue, in Toronto. It is just north of Mel Lastman Square. View a map.

If traveling to FSCO by public transit, take the TTC's Yonge Subway and exit at the North York Centre station. There is a GO Transit bus stop in front of 5140 Yonge Street.

Mailroom

All courier and regular mail packages should be directed to FSCO's mailroom located on the 16th Floor. The mailroom's hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Financial Hardship Unlocking Inquiries

In certain situations it is possible to apply for special access to money in an Ontario-regulated locked-in account, life income fund or locked-in retirement income fund. Information is available on this website or by calling FSCO's Contact Centre.

Automobile Insurance Dispute Resolution (DRS) Inquiries

Dispute Resolution Services is the FSCO branch that helps claimants and insurance companies resolve disputes related to statutory accident benefits as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Its mandate is to provide timely, cost-effective and fair dispute resolution services for claimants and insurance companies. Services include mediation, arbitration, neutral evaluation, appeal, and variation and revocation.

General Pension Inquiries

In Ontario, all employers who establish pension plans must register them with FSCO. The Pension Plans Branch provides support to the Superintendent in the administration of the Pension Benefits Act of Ontario and the regulations thereunder.

Motor Vehicle Accident Claims Fund (MVACF) Inquiries

The Motor Vehicle Accident Claims Fund is considered to be the "payer of last resort" as it provides compensation to people injured in automobile accidents when no automobile insurance exists to respond to the claim.

Financial Services Tribunal (FST) Inquiries

The Financial Services Tribunal is an independent, adjudicative body composed of nine to 15 members, including the Chair and two Vice-Chairs. The Tribunal has exclusive jurisdiction to exercise the powers conferred under the Financial Services Commission of Ontario Act, 1997 and other Acts that confer powers on or assign duties to the Tribunal.
