Drainage Management
Drainage management supports highway management in four areas:
- Highway Design,
- Highway Construction,
- Corridor Management, and
- Highway Maintenance.
To address drainage and hydrology considerations in highway design and corridor management, the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has developed a number of documents and tools. These tools are intended to assist consultants, design engineers, drainage professionals and MTO staff to identify MTO drainage policy, MTO design procedures, and MTO requirements.
