services, and major case management. We work in partnership with the O.P.P. Regions, Bureaus, municipal police and other government agencies.

Investigations/Organized Crime has established leadership roles in co-ordinated projects with our justice partners in response to today's sophisticated and organized criminal activities. Examples of these joint force initiatives include Drug Enforcement , Provincial ViCLAS (Violent Crimes Linkage Analysis System) Centre, Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit , the Ontario Sex Offender Registry, Illegal Gambling Unit , the Provincial Auto Theft Team , Provincial Assets Forfeiture Unit , and the Biker Enforcement Unit .

We are committed to the ongoing development of a strategic plan that assesses operational priorities and directs appropriate proactive activity to organized crime targets. This requires focussing investigations based on effective intelligence gathering, comprehensive analysis and information sharing with all municipal, provincial, federal and international law enforcement partners.

This strategy is mainly based on four key components: securing the right intelligence, strategy analysis, priority setting, and targeted enforcement. As a result of this approach, Investigations/Organized Crime Command continues to evolve in order to meet our challenges. In recent years changes have included the creation Organized Crime Section, Crime Prevention Section and E-Crimes Section.
