Doors Open Ontario

Fort Henry
Fort Henry is both a museum and a spectacular historic site. Once inside the fortification's wooden gates visitors enter a marvellous reproduction of 19th century military life. The site offers guided tours, scenic views, and musical performances from a military band and military and marching demonstrations by the Fort Henry Guard.

Ontario Heritage Foundation - Buildings

Ontario Heritage Foundation - Plaques & markers
The Provincial Plaque Program is the Foundation's oldest and perhaps best-known activity. Over 1,150 of the familiar royal blue and gold provincial plaques have been unveiled - including 22 international plaques. The plaques make Ontario's history come alive by telling stories of the people, places and events that helped shape our province.
