Health Care Equipment and Supplies
Beginning March 3, 2008, the WSIB will require workers to purchase approved health care equipment and supplies from a list of three preferred suppliers. We developed two Operational Policies, 17-01-07 Preferred Supplier of Health Care Products/Services (85k, pdf) and 17-07-06 Health Care Equipment and Supplies (84k, pdf), to support this initiative.
New price list for wheelchair/scooter purchases
Effective August 27, 2007, we are using a new price list when reviewing approved purchases of wheelchairs and scooters for workers.
New preferred supplier
The WSIB has selected a new preferred supplier for the installation, service, and preventive maintenance of elevating and lifting devices for injured workers.
