Resources for Aboriginal Entrepreneurs

Aboriginal business owners are a growing segment of Canadian entrepreneurs. Canada Business – Nova Scotia (CB-NS) has created the Aboriginal Business Info-Guide to help you navigate through the federal and provincial government programs, services and resources that may be of interest to Aboriginal individuals starting or operating a business in Nova Scotia.

The Aboriginal Business Service Network (ABSN) has a range of services to help you start and build your business. For your convenience, 15 ABSN locations have been established throughout Nova Scotia. These locations can provide you with access to business information, including government programs, services, regulations, and useful business tools to help you plan your success.

Aboriginal Business Canada (ABC) is an Indian and Northern Affairs Canada program that maximizes Aboriginal people’s participation in the economy through business development. ABC assists Aboriginal entrepreneurs with business planning, start-up, expansion, marketing, and financing.
