Resources for Youth

If you are under 35 and thinking of starting a business, take a look at our Young Entrepreneurs Info-Guide, which provides advice and information on available financing and support services.

The Youth Link – publication provides information on Government of Canada programs, services and resources for youth.

Financing

The Canadian Youth Business Foundation offers mentoring and financing up to $15,000 to aspiring young entrepreneurs.

The Seed Capital Program provides loans up to $20,000 to start, expand, or improve a business. Up to $2,000 is also provided for you to acquire business skills training.

The Students in Business program provides funding for students between the ages of 15 and 30 to create your own job.

Youth Awareness provides sponsors with the financial resources to design projects for youth.

Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency’s Young Entrepreneur Development Initiative offers financial assistance to organizations that provide training and support to young entrepreneurs.
