Private Investigator and Security Agencies Act:

This Act governs the licensing of Security Businesses and Security Employees. All businesses and employees are required to be licensed before engaging in security work. Businesses must provide proof of bonding. Employees must be fingerprinted and a criminal history record check will be completed upon receipt of application. Security Alarm Installers must have Trade Qualification certification through the Ministry of Labour.

Security businesses include security alarm services, armored car services, locksmiths, private investigators, security consultants, and security patrol.
