Warehouse Receipt Act: This Act provides the required particulars of warehouse receipts, and sets out the warehouse person's duty to deliver and liability for care of goods. A warehouse receipt is defined as an acknowledgment in writing by a warehouse person of the receipt for storage of goods that are not his or her own. A warehouse person is defined as a person who receives goods for storage for reward.

Warehouse Lien Act This Act states that every warehouse person has a lien (legal claim) on goods deposited with him/her for storage. The Act provides rules for a warehouse person to follow when notifying others of the lien and when enforcing the lien by advertising and selling the stored goods, A warehouse person is defined as a person lawfully engaged in the business of storing goods as a bailee for hire.
