College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia
The College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia is the regulatory body established to govern the practice of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and acupuncture. In 1996 Cabinet approved the Acupuncturists Regulation which designates acupuncture as a regulated profession pursuant to the Health Professions Act.

In July 1998, the Health Professions Council recommended the designation of TCM as a regulated health profession pursuant to the Health Professions Act. The Council further recommended that the disciplines of acupuncture and TCM be regulated under a single, expanded college. In December 2000, the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists Regulation was approved.
