Dentists Act:

The College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia is the regulatory body established to govern the practice of dentistry in British Columbia. The College is established pursuant to the Dentists Act and has additional responsibility for regulating dental assistants. The Association of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia has responsibility for member services including fee negotiations, advocacy and other professional interests.

The College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia registers, licenses and regulates dentists and certified dental assistants (CDAs) in the public interest.
