Ministry officials with Saskatchewan Enterprise and Innovation sent out over 300 invitations this past week to Saskatchewan organizations inviting them to put forward nominees to the Board of Enterprise Saskatchewan.

The provincial and federal governments are investing $3.4 million in two training projects in northern Saskatchewan - one for the hospitality industry, and the other for heavy equipment operation and maintenance.

Premier Brad Wall wants both industry and Saskatchewan's new government to look at ways to encourage sustainable development of the province's oil sands resources.

The Provincial Government wants to continue discussions to reopen Domtar's mills in northern Saskatchewan, but it will not proceed with the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the former government.
