Reference Library

Our Reference Library is a great resource for potential and existing entrepreneurs. Whether you are looking for information on writing a business plan, locating distributors and manufacturers, or researching foreign market opportunities, our Library has material that can help you. We invite you to search our Halifax Collection on-line by using the menu on the left.

Our business resources are available, for on-site use, in a variety of formats. When visiting our Centre, you are welcome to review the print material and search our electronic databases or the Internet (business-related research only) on our public access terminals. All materials are business-related and include directories, handbooks, almanacs, magazines, trade journals (electronic form), market reports, and much more. For more information about our electronic databases, consult our Library Guide.

To better serve rural communities in Nova Scotia we have partnered with local organizations which are referred to as Community Business Resource Network (CBRN). The resources available at each site include free Internet access for business research and a selection of frequently-used reference publications. We have also partnered with First Nations communities and Aboriginal organizations who are part of the Aboriginal Business Service Network (ABSN). Each ABSN site has free Internet access for business research and a selection of reference publications. The ABSN and CBDC Collections can also be searched using the menu on the left.
