Welcome to Community Futures West Interlake
Community Futures is a community-based economic renewal initiative funded by the Government of Canada and directed by local volunteer boards. Our main objectives are to help rural Canadians start or expand a business and to help sustain and improve communities and their local economies.
Manitoba’s 16 Community Futures corporations deliver a variety of services including loans and technical and advisory services for small and medium- sized businesses, services targeted to youth and entrepreneurs with disabilities, and community economic development and planning.
Mission and Vision
Community Futures West Interlake's mission is to assist the communities and businesses in the West Interlake to survive and grow by helping them help themselves.
Vision: Economic growth, stability and diversification resulting in the creation of jobs and wealth; entrepreneurial communities and businesses with wide participation by all citizens; self reliant communities.
Further, Community Futures West Interlake Inc. is committed to economic development in the West Interlake by providing: a) community economic development and strategic community planning and project support; b) business advisory services including business planning, business information and entrepreneurship training; and c) delivery of a higher risk investment fund loans and the Self Employment Assistance program.
