ACOA's Young Entrepreneur Development Initiative (YEDI) provides financial support to non-profit* organizations, educational institutions and municipalities to offer business skills training, information and support to Atlantic Canadians under 35 years of age. 

With the right business skills and tools, aspiring and existing young entrepreneurs will be well equipped to successfully create and grow their businesses.

Eligibility Criteria

Participating organizations must be non-profit and non-commercial and based in Atlantic Canada.

Youth participants must reside in Atlantic Canada and be under 35 years of age.

Summary

ACOA, through YEDI, provides financial support to not-for-profit organizations to help young entrepreneurs in Atlantic Canada acquire the skills and tools needed to start and grow their own businesses.

Funding and Eligibility

ACOA assistance is non-repayable and limited to the percentage of eligible costs necessary for the project to proceed.

*Note: "non-profit" also known as nonprofit organizations, non profit organizations, not-for-profit organizations, voluntary organizations and volunteer organizations.
