The Directory of Energy Efficiency and Alternative Energy Programs in Canada is an on-line inventory of programs to promote the efficient use or conservation of energy at the end-use level and/or the use of alternative energy in Canada. The directory covers programs offered by the Government of Canada, provincial and territorial governments, major Canadian municipalities, and major electric and gas utilities and companies.

Summary

The Directory has four main sections:

  • national programs;
  • provincial and territorial programs;
  • municipal programs;
  • programs from utility companies. 

The Directory includes a brief of each program's objectives and type; sectors and sub-sectors that the program targets; the program's delivery tools; the name, address and Web site of the organization responsible for the program; and contact information.

The Directory is available only online.
(Note: the printed version of the Directory, last published in 1998, has been discontinued.)
