In addition to governing the administration and enforcement of customs laws, the Customs Act also governs the use of special services for persons in charge of imported goods or goods destined for exportation. The Special Service (Customs) Regulations specify the conditions under which services are considered special services and the fees to be charged for the provision of these services.
The Special Services (Customs) Regulations and associated guidelines are detailed in Customs Memorandum D1-2-1.
