Summary

This is the process whereby fishers renew or transfer their licenses.

This program helps fishers renew or transfer their licenses. Staff issue licenses on a regional basis, and each region has a defined set of requirements. The three regions are:

  • Atlantic;
  • Pacific;
  • Central and Arctic.

Staff process registrations for vessels and fishers, and issue licenses to fishers. Individual quotas are sometimes attached to these licenses.
